The Moose. Western Montana is blessed with many of these wonderful animals. They're often seen in the summer eating from the bottom of ponds and lakes. In the winter, they're more often spotted on logging units.

The moose is a very awkward-looking animal, but looks are deceiving. They move with the grace and speed of a gazelle. More often than not, they "go through" an obstacle, rather than jump.
