Marjorie has truly captured the love of life of this young man. He exudes joy and confidence and peace.
He loves to be out-of-doors and is a very active, hard working (living) person.
When Marjorie works on a portrait, she takes the time to get to know her subject before any preliminary painting work begins. It's through this "acquainting" time she gains her grasp of the subject's character and personality that she'll bring out onto the canvas. The portrait may take anywhere from 2 weeks to 4 months to accomplish, so be patient.
Marjorie specializes in portraits – portraits of people, wildlife, pets, and objects. She is adept at portraying onto canvas very realistic renditions of her subject, bringing onto canvas the very personality and character of, for instance, the person whom she's portraying. Her greatest desire is that the image on the canvas will be so very real to the viewer that the viewer will feel the actual presence of the person, or subject, portrayed.
Marjorie prefers working from reference slides, but some portraits have been created using numerous photo and video reference material provided by the client, as well as letters from family and friends describing the subject. This portrait was done using slides as reference material and live studies of the subject.
The terms are 1/3 down and the rest payable upon approval of the portrait. Payments can be done "on time."
